GOULD ROAD PARK

Public BBQ

Gould Road Park in Herston offers a small playground that's popular with young children and occasionally hosts community festivals. The park's standout feature is its flying fox colony. Visitors can watch them up close from the bridge at dusk as they swoop down to drink from the river. The park provides a quiet spot for lunch breaks, though facilities are limited. There are no toilets on site, which is a notable drawback. Parking near the hospital can be difficult, so walking is often easier. Coffee shops are within walking distance. The park works well for a quick visit or to observe the wildlife, but don't expect extensive amenities. It's a safe, low-key green space in an urban setting.
